Sunshine Coast Electric Vehicle Association – 2023 Annual General Meeting.
Tuesday, April 4th at 7 pm
SCEVA is fortunate to be the FIRST community group to meet in the Function Room at the Award Winning Sechelt Water Resource Centre. Come early to admire this world class example of innovation and sustainability at 5678 Surf Circle in downtown Sechelt! Ample parking – and EV charging, too!
Our AGM guest speaker will be Jason Heard from FULLY CHARGED LIVE! This group organizes the world’s biggest e-transportation and home electrifying event at venues around the world including Vancouver from September 8 to 10, 2023! Hear what EVs and emerging technologies will be on display! (https://ca.fullycharged.live to learn more!)
The board of directors will report on last year’s events and some of our plans for 2023. We also welcome your ideas to help make 2023 even more fun for everyone!
Also, did you know that SCEVA is a member of the Global Electric Vehicle Alliance? (www.GlobalEVAlliance.com) Our co-founder and director, John Henderson, is SCEVA’s representative to this fascinating organization (members in 37 countries and over 200,000 members!) John will speak about their activities and plans.
Non-members are welcome to join the meeting – so bring a friend! (For those unable to join in person, we will have Zoom available – https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85002542640.)
Thanks to our sponsors, members and volunteers for a great year!

We had a very successful night at the Sechelt water resource center with 17 members in person and several more via Zoom. We had an awesome presentation from Jason Heard about the Fully Charged event coming to Vancouver Trade and Convention Center in September this year. Jason told us about the huge line up of exhibitors coming as well as the speakers and presentations. They are expecting over 25,000 attendees over the three days. Look for more information on this in our monthly SCEVA newsletter as we move closer to September (8th-12th mark your calendar).
We also had a great round the table discussion about Evs and Ev life, charging, road trips, government and more.
Chairperson John Henderson, presented all members with the business of SCEVA for 2022 and an interesting presentation about GEVA the Global EV Alliance with 63 organizations, 37 countries, 221 000 members!
Director Maureen Bodie gave a presentation on EV driver opportunities: Coastal Rides, Community Resources- volunteer drivers for medical appointments.
